CPMZ welcomed the Minister of Transport and Logistics at the Maforga Pumping Station

Companhia do Pipeline Moçambique-Zimbabwe (CPMZ) had the honour of welcoming the Minister of Transport and Logistics, João Jorge Matlombe, to the Maforga Pumping Station in Manica Province. This is one of the two pumping stations that have been ensuring, for more than 40 years and 24 hours a day, the supply of fuel to Zimbabwe and the countries of the Hinterland.

The visit allowed the Minister to witness firsthand the technological sophistication of the operation and the high level of preparedness of the CPMZ team. He expressed particular satisfaction in seeing that CPMZ is staffed by highly qualified, 100% Mozambican technical professionals who operate state-of-the-art platforms capable of accurately controlling and monitoring the entire pumping process. This is clear evidence that national talent is fully capable of meeting the greatest challenges.

In this regard, the Minister emphasized that at CPMZ, “things get done.” He also acknowledged that CPMZ is well prepared for the increased capacity demands of the region and is fully equipped to support the growing regional energy demand while expanding its response capacity with safety, efficiency, and reliability. He once again highlighted the excellence of CPMZ’s operations, particularly in the interior of Mozambique.

This recognition comes at a particularly significant moment: last May, the CPMZ pipeline achieved yet another monthly pumping record, transporting 244,237 m³ of fuel. This achievement reflects CPMZ’s dedication and its continuous commitment to operational and technological excellence.
