Construction of two additional pumping stations is set to begin with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 1, 2026.

Looking further ahead, CPMZ has already begun preliminary studies for replacing its pipeline with a larger-diameter pipe to meet regional hinterland demand through 2050 — a replacement that, as before, will be carried out without interrupting operations.

In addition to the capacity expansion, a future extension of the pipeline from Harare to Lusaka in Zambia is also under evaluation. This will increase the capillarity of the Beira Corridor into the heart of Zambia and the Copperbelt, bringing all the advantages of pipeline transport: greater economic efficiency, higher quality, and lower environmental impact.

Zimbabwe and the hinterland countries increasingly rely on CPMZ as their preferred fuel transporter.
