{"id":953,"date":"2025-04-29T19:14:48","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T19:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpmz.co.mz\/noticias\/a-capacidade-instalada-da-cpmz-aumenta-em-quase-50\/"},"modified":"2025-05-27T11:08:34","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T11:08:34","slug":"a-capacidade-instalada-da-cpmz-aumenta-em-quase-50","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/cpmz.co.mz\/en\/news\/a-capacidade-instalada-da-cpmz-aumenta-em-quase-50\/","title":{"rendered":"CPMZ\u2019s installed capacity increases by almost 50%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Over the past few years CPMZ has been implementing a multi-phase capacity expansion project to serve and anticipate the growing regional demand for refined products.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is therefore with great satisfaction that CPMZ \u2013 Companhia do Pipeline Mo\u00e7ambique Zimbabwe announces that its new pumping stations at Beira and Maforga have gone into production, giving the Beira-Feruka pipeline an installed capacity of 3,000,000 m3\/year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By achieving this milestone, CPMZ has bolstered its commitment to supporting energy security in southern Africa in general and Zimbabwe in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new flow rate represents an increase of almost 50% on the pipeline\u2019s previous capacity, and it is based on more efficient and safer state-of-the-art technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The construction of the new pumping platforms, begun in 2020, has been successfully completed and, since 1 January 2024, as planned, CPMZ has been at an advanced commissioning and integration testing phase with the oil terminals at Beira port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>CPMZ pumps historic volume in January<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this context, CPMZ congratulates itself for having reached a transported volume of around 190,000 m\u00b3 in January of this year for the first time in its history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a new pumping capacity of 343 m\u00b3\/hour, the pipeline will have a maximum flow capacity of around 8,200 m\u00b3\/day.
