His Excellency Mr. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, inaugurated this Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Port of Beira, the two new platforms built by Companhia do Pipeline Moçambique-Zimbabwe (CPMZ), one in Beira (Sofala) and another in Maforga (Manica).
The construction of the new pumping platforms, begun in 2020, has been successfully completed and, since 1 January 2024, as planned, CPMZ has been at an advanced commissioning and integration testing phase with the oil terminals at Beira port.
O Memorando de Entendimento foi assinado a 3 de Dezembro de 2021, na Beira, com o objectivo de evoluir Harare como plataforma preferencial de distribuição de combustíveis para o interior da África Austral.
The modernisation of the Beira and Maforga (Manica) pump stations will enable a 50% increase in pipeline capacity. This initiative is one of the key steps to implementing the ambitious pipeline expansion project that is currently underway.
